More than 450 guests attended the inaugural Farm & Vineyard Faire on Saturday, October 8 at Fulshear Run, a new residential community located in Fulshear, Texas.

“Our inaugural event featured an afternoon faire of gourmet farm-to-fork bites prepared by talented local chefs, highlighted by wine pairings and cooking demonstrations,” says Doug Konopka, DHK Development president and developer of Fulshear Run, Fulshear’s newest master-planned acreage community. “Tents featuring creative food samplings lined the streets and roundabouts and guests enjoyed exquisite wines from Napa and world class flavors from as far away as Uruguay, Spain and Australia. This was a wonderful way to showcase the event’s official charities, Arts Fulshear and the Fulshear Farmer’s Market through Forever Fulshear.”

Following the Faire, a Pop-Up Supper was hosted in the development’s Fish Lake Park.   The special Pop-Up Supper featured celebrity chef Monica Pope of Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, and Bart Black, owner and executive chef of Black’s Market Table, who created a delicious farm to table menu. Fulshear Run’s canopy of oak trees, adorned with twinkling lights, provided a lush backdrop for food and wine lovers to enjoy the autumn feast, along with wines from Clos du Val, Flora Springs, Rombauer.

Adds Konopka, “It was exciting to welcome so many visitors to Fulshear and to Fulshear Run for two unique foodie events. The evening Pop-Up Supper prepared by Houston’s talented Monica Pope was a definite crowd pleaser. Events of this caliber are what Fulshear, and specifically Fulshear Run, are all about!”

Event sponsors included Trendmaker Homes, Fulshear Run, Momentum Land Rover Southwest Houston, Fairmont Homes, NewFirst National Bank, Prime Living, Vino Cadre, Brugal Rum, The Macallan and Avenu.

Event proceeds benefitted two local 501c3 organizations: Arts Fulshear and The Farmer’s Market (via Forever Fulshear).

“Fulshear Run is a beautiful development,” says Marcia Garcia, one of the guests attending. “We had a wonderful time at the event and can’t wait until the next one.”
